About Robert Joseph Webster

My name is Rob and I have been photographing seriously for about 10 years now. When I was younger I pursued a commercial portrait photography career, I was good at it, but found that I hated the business and egos of the clients. Unfortunetly, it made me leave the art of photography for many years and pursue another career path. Now, as I have aged quite a bit, I realized that I have to do something as a creative outlet. I find capturing landscape and urbane scenes an interesting and fullfilling way to persue that outlet.

The goal of my photography is become proficient enough to capture what I see with my eye and mind and translate it to film or digital medium in a way that evokes reaction to my art work. The blog lets me create a body of work that I can use as a tool of sorts, that will hopefully help refine my artistic eye.

Cheers,

Rob

Photography Equipment

For the most part I use a Tachahara 4X5 Cherry Wood Field Camera with 2 lenses, 90mm and 210, for this blog. My film of choice is Fiji Velvia 50 and 100 as well as various B&W film. I will occasionally post images from my Canon Digital and 35mm Analog cameras and various focal lengths as well.

I scan my film projects using a Epson V750 flatbed scanner and my post processing (digital darkroom) is done with Adobe Photoshop.
